COVID 21

Posted by Dean Gage

There is not a one of us who has not been impacted by COVID 19 during the year 2020. This worldwide pandemic has changed our way of life in almost every segment and walk. It has had negative impacts on our health, society, religious freedoms, educational systems, finances/economy, families, sports, and more. We were surprised and concerned and will all remember what COVID 19 did to our world in 2020. God was not surprised and He is still in control in 2021. Why did I title this Challenge COVID 21? I want to give you three reasons from God’s Word that he placed on my heart to offer victory to each of us:

COVID 21: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The first is that CHRIST OFFERS VICTORY IN DISTRESS. In these times of distress, uncertainty, and disruption, Christ offers us victory to do all things through him. This is real leadership, trust and faith in the only one who can and wants to walk beside us every day and step of the way. We cannot do it alone, and He promises to be with us and strengthen us as we face every distress.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

PHILIPPIANS 4:13

COVID 21: Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” The second is that CHRIST OFFERS VICTORY IN DEFEAT. Our way of life and the depressed economy have taken a toll on people worldwide and even Christians and their families this past year. Many people have felt defeated and the suicide rate has greatly increased. For the Christian, we are not defeated because Jesus promises to supply our needs to continue. It may not be at the same level, but He knows our needs and will meet them when we claim this promise and trust him.

COVID 21: I John 5:12 “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” The third and most important reason is that CHRIST OFFERS VICTORY IN DEATH. Christ's victory over sin through his death, burial, and resurrection offers us this same victory over death. When we confess our sins and accept the Son of God, we have eternal life and victory in His Death to be with him forever.

Don’t spend time worrying about COVID 19, but live with God’s promises of COVID 21!!!
