Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”    

I have read estimates that God’s Word holds from 7,000 to 8,000+ promises which can often be ours to live by.  In my many leadership roles in all walks of life, I have found that praying and claiming God’s promises back to him provide the best leadership tool available.  Many of his promises have both a command for us to do something as well as the promise.  One such example is what I have so often prayed found in Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”  When the leadership decision was not clear or to gain affirmation, this promise has been put into action.  God is always faithful to what He has promised.  He is pleased with our humility and dependence on Him to claim His Word and promise for every circumstance in life.  Here are few other promises to claim as a leader: 

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your path.” 

Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” 

Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you saying,” This is the way walk in it.” 

Luke 12:11-12 “Do not be anxious about how to should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in the very hour what you ought to say.” 

There are thousands more promises and Scriptures, but this gives you a sampling of ones which can often be used in your life.  I have personally used this last promise from Luke in family situations, business presentations, church speaking and teaching, job interviews, conflict resolution and employee issues.  God has never failed me yet because His promises are true and faithful.  Claim them as your very own and see the difference they will make in your life.  Write them on a card, mark them in your Bible and memorize them.
