Jesus said this about God’s Word in John 17:17: “Your Word is truth.”
The current COVID pandemic has people reading and listening to more information than any time in several years. Many people are reading things that are not proven, factual, or true and then believing what they have read or heard someone else say. Someone told me that they would not take the COVID vaccine because it was derived from embryonic stem cells. I did my research and that is not true. Many people are being deceived. People read and even believe something about another person that is not true but written to deceive and even damage the character of that individual. When you read or hear something that you are not sure about, do your due diligence and research to find the facts and truth. If it’s spiritual, go to God’s Word. We must base our decisions and leadership on the truth.
JOHN 17:17
What started in the Garden of Eden where Satan twisted God’s Word and deceived Adam and Eve is still with us today. I recently saw this quote, “If you are going to believe in everything you read, then start with God’s Word.” Leaders should read and know God’s Word to the point that they hold everything they face against the truth. We should check the facts and not be gullible, deceived, or led astray. There are only two ways to make life’s decisions. One is to listen to the culture and the other is to live by the truth of God’s Word. One leads us away from God and the other leads us to God. We are all reading about the alternate life styles of today being promoted but what does the Word of Truth say? As you lead your family and at work what do you read in God’s Word to determine your words and actions? The answer is found in Psalm 110:11 “I have stored up your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” All of life’s answers are found in the truth of God’s Word. When we read it and believe it, it is stored in our heart that we might do what is right in all of life.
