John 14:6: “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Last week, I read a research article with this headline, “60 Percent of Born-Again Millennials Don’t Believe Jesus Is the Only Way to Heaven.” This should raise our eyebrows and drive home how important our role as a husband, father, and spiritual leader must be to build the truth of God’s Word into the hearts and lives of those whom we lead. The article also found that Millennials and Generation Z Christians between the ages of 18 and 39 say that Buddha, Muhammad, and Jesus are all valid paths to salvation. That is not what God’s Word states so clearly. More than 30 percent of young Christians even believe that Jesus was a sinner. This is a sad and stunning finding. This means that these young so-called Christians have a pluralistic worldview. The great deceiver is still at work and has not stopped since the Garden of Eden.

What are we to do? We cannot assume any longer that all Christians have a BIBLICAL worldview. We must lead the truth of Jesus and God’s Word into the lives of those around us and live out the inerrant Word of God. We all travel down one-way streets and highways to a destination. Jesus said that there is only one way to the Father and that is through him. There are not multiple paths and his one-way is the only way that is a gift and not something that has to be earned. More than that, he is the only one who is alive today and can live in our hearts as we travel life to eternity. Don’t compromise or let anyone lead you to believe that there are other paths outside of Jesus to salvation. If 60 percent of so-called born-again Millennials don’t believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven, what will that percentage be in the next generation? What are we to do? “Actively lead your family down the one and only way to salvation and heaven.”
